BOMB GROUP, OFF-CAMP, MUSEUM

Hardwick USAAF Museum.

The museum is to the east of the runways in a former accomodation area. It comprises of a number of Nissen huts and one pitched roof hut.

To the south is a private commercial airstrip which on Open Days sometimes operates old aircraft, Harwick Warbirds. Vintage cars and military vehicles are also usually on parade.

Liberator Tyre (Tire).	A lovely sunny day in East Anglia in September 2011. People having tea, coffee, sandwiches and cakes, all very British.	Hand cranked siren. How long it had to be cranked for and what made up the signals, interval, tones etc? Anyone out there can illuminate me on this, please.	Warning on the hand cranked siren. It works I tried it. The museum would like to know what kind of signals it was used for.
